As part of ARC’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Month, we’re inviting anyone for whom the UK is not their first home to join us for an afternoon of free fitness, tennis, badminton and table tennis on Saturday 22nd June.
This special event coincides with the UK’s Refugee Week (17th-23rd June), and we’re proud to show our solidarity with this year’s Refugee Week theme: ‘Our Home’.
We want to make sure Atlantic Racquet Centre is a welcoming, safe and sustainable place for everyone in our community, regardless of their background or story, and that everyone is able to feel comfortable at ARC whilst exercising, socialising and having fun!
We are particularly interested in reaching those for whom English is not a first language, displaced persons, and those who don’t feel at home within their community.
If you know of anyone who would benefit from this opportunity to join us for an afternoon of free fitness and racquet sports, please share this information with them.
The event will take place at ARC from 2pm-4.30pm on Saturday 22nd June. No pre-booking is required. Just arrive and say “Hello!” No catches, no small print, just free inclusive sports to help make everyone feel more at home in their community.
It would be great if you could let us know you’re coming along. Simply put your details into the form below.
