Every year our incredible community comes together to host a range of unique & exciting events to support ARC’s fundraising efforts. ARC is a charity that relies on donations to continue to provide high quality & affordable services & facilities to our users. We are currently fundraising to complete a community café/bar & multi-use hall.

Hosting a fundraising event with ARC is a fun & social activity that can help us get closer to our fundraising goal whilst providing entertainment for ARC users & the local community! Recent fundraisers have included themed quiz nights, a Murder Mystery theatre experience, a garden tea party, and even a Ceilidh dancing event with live music!
“I want to host a fundraising event! How do I get started?”
We’ve put together a simple checklist of things to think about before you get started with planning your fundraising event. Perhaps you’ve already got a brilliant idea in mind and you’re eager to get going - that’s great! But we’ve found that a bit of planning & preparation can make a huge difference in making sure an event is a success.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning your fundraising event…
Your idea. It’s important to make sure that your event is realistic & achievable, whilst also making sure it’s fun!
Check in with us. If you’re thinking of putting on an event, drop us a line to let us know. It’s important we have an idea of what you’re planning.
ARC is a charity. Your event will need to be inexpensive to put on, so think carefully about any costs that you might incur. We don’t want you to be out-of-pocket, so make sure that money raised by the event will cover your costs whilst also contributing to ARC’s fundraising efforts.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Community fundraising is all about teaming up with people in support of a common cause. Friends, family & the ARC community are always willing to offer a helping hand.

Who is your target audience? For your event to be a hit, it’s important that people come along! Make sure that your event is appealing for people in the local area, & that it is on at a time when they are able to attend.
