Atlantic Racquet Centre: Fundraiser
Atlantic Racquet Centre (ARC) are seeking to appoint a pro-active and ambitious Fundraiser to raise the final £150,000 required to complete our much needed community facility.
ARC is a community racquet & fitness centre and charity where everyone can exercise, socialise and learn together. The centre currently offer Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis and Functional Fitness facilities to a community of around 2500 regular users. In the next few weeks we will be opening our brand new glass back squash courts, marking yet another exciting addition to the project.
The charity was established with the simple aim of offering high quality, affordable and accessible racquet & fitness facilities to local people in Torridge. To date a team of intrepid volunteers have raised just short of £4,000,000 in grants, loans and donations.
The final phase of the project will consist of a community café & bar and a large multi-use sports hall/events space. To complete the final phase we currently have a shortfall of £150,000 which needs to be raised in the next 3 – 6 months to allow us to finally complete the facility.
The Fundraiser will work independently on a consultancy basis to plan, launch, lead and deliver this ambitious fundraising effort: The Final Fund. The Fundraiser will have the simple goal of raising £150,000 in 3 to 6 months. They will likely utilise multiple available channels for securing the funding including: Corporate Sponsorship, Family/Sponsor Memberships, Small Events & Fundraisers, Digital Donation Schemes and Grant Funding Bids. The Fundraiser will have access to various tools and expertise acquired from our previous fundraising success but will be expected to work independently on the project with some volunteer & staff support available when required. This exciting new role is perfect for anyone who is ambitious, passionate about ARC, our vision and our community and looking for a challenge with a fixed timeline.
Essential requirements of the successful candidate:
· Previous experience of fundraising with a proven track record of success
· Good IT literacy with an understanding of Microsoft software and other online tools
· A clear understanding of ARC and passion for our vision & mission
