Part-Time Badminton Coach – Atlantic Racquet Centre – Bideford
Atlantic Racquet Centre is looking for a part-time Badminton coach to take the lead on the growth and delivery of a brand-new Badminton coaching programme for children, adults and players with disabilities under the direction of our Head Coach & Sports Development Officer.
The centre is an exciting brand-new facility in Bideford which currently has 6 outdoor tennis courts, 4 indoor tennis courts and, as of September 2018, 3 roll out Badminton courts which are currently available 30 hours per week. Once completed, the facility will also offer squash courts, a multi-sports hall, large gym and café area.
The successful applicant will work closely with our Head Coach to design and implement a brand-new Badminton coaching programme. They will take the lead on the delivery of the programme as well as potentially taking on a small proportion of the off-court admin associated with it.
The ideal candidate will be a Level 2 or 3 Badminton coach with current Badminton England accreditation. They will be enthusiastic and passionate about growing Badminton and will have experience in doing so at other clubs/centres. They will be a highly motivated individual with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Good IT skills and a knowledge of social media and/or marketing are desirable.
Applicants who do not yet hold a Badminton England qualification but may be interested in gaining one are also welcome to apply.
The position will between 2 - 8 hours per week on a Wednesday or Thursday evening (To be confirmed based on the successful applicant’s availability) between approx. 5pm – 9pm. Pay will be based on qualification and experience.
Start Date: September 2019 or earlier.
Employment will be subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check.
