Our members were treated to full day of activities and sessions completely free of charge on Saturday 3rd July 2021. It’s been an incredibly difficult 18 months for everyone which has included major disruption to our sessions and services. Despite many periods of closure and restricted use ARC has come back fighting and its largely down to our incredible members, many of whom continued to pay their subscriptions throughout this period.
The member celebration day was our way of saying thank you to those incredible members and after the success of this inaugural event its now set to be an annual fixture at ARC. The day was open to all adult members and their families. It was attended by over 75 people who could each access a variety of different sessions across Tennis, Badminton & Table Tennis. From a serving speed gun, to a Badminton technique session, to King of the Table and a ‘lucky dip racquet tournament’ - over 23 sessions & activities took place throughout the afternoon which was blessed with some surprisingly good weather despite the forecast. Prizes were won by many but a special congratulations goes to Zoe Green & Kallen Horseman who were the winners of the ‘Fastest Serve’ competition. Everyone who attended was treated to a free drink and BBQ snack cooked by our amazing catering volunteers Bev & Bella.
We’d like to say a big thankyou to our amazing team of staff and volunteers who delivered the event ensuring it ran smoothly and that everyone had a positive experience.
