Represent ARC in the Devon Squash League!

Do you like the idea of representing one of our Squash Teams in the Devon Squash League next season? Get involved in our Squash Team Training coming up in August!

What’s involved?

As a member of one of our team squads you’d be required to play one ‘best of 5 games’ singles match against your opposite number in a team of 4. Matches are both home and away and take place from September to April. Home matches happen on Mondays, Wednesday or Thursdays. Away match nights vary and can often involve long distance journeys to South Devon. Players wanting to get involved must be prepared to travel to away matches as well as home matches. A match fee is charged to cover the cost of courts and food afterwards.

League Squash is ideal for anyone looking for a competitive opportunity in a social and team environment.

Who can take part?

Team Squash is open to Squash & Racketball Racquet and Unlimited Racquet members only – so if you’d like to get involved why not consider signing up for a membership here.

Last year we entered two teams, and this year we’re hoping to enter a third if there is enough interest, so anyone of any standard with the right membership is welcome to come along to try out for a team!

How do I get involved?

Anyone who’d like to be considered for one of our teams should come along to our Squash Team Training & Selection evenings. These sessions will run for three weeks and be held on Monday evenings from 6pm on 12th, 19th, and 26th (Bank Holiday) August.

The sessions will consist of drills & matchplay organised by our coaching team Emma Champion and Kevin Ellicott. Our team captain volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions and join in the fun.

To attend the sessions you’ll need to book your place individually onto each session via the TeamUp schedule here. Sessions will be completely free of charge to Squash & Racketball Racquet and Unlimited Racquet members.

Do I have to come to the training & selection evenings?

Yes. Anyone who wants the opportunity to represent ARC this season must come along to at least one of the training & selection sessions.

What happens after the Team Training & Selection evenings?

At the end of August we’ll be in touch to let you know if you’ve been selected for a team and if so which one. The same Monday evening slot will then be used for team training sessions in your team until the season begins at the end of September.
